The Renaissance Hotel Pittsburgh is one of the top venues in Pittsburgh known for its timeless, luxury aesthetic and stunning views of the city. Couples can get ready in the spacious Heaven Suite on the top floor which features modern design, a beautiful terrace, and unmatched views of the city. The hotel has also provided conference rooms for groomsmen or other wedding party members to get ready in if only one room to get ready in is rented.

The Grand Staircase is a popular spot for ceremonies, facing a public lobby that can accommodate up to 300 guests. (Keep in mind, it IS a working hotel, so while they do put up pipe and drape for your ceremony, you are still saying I do’s in the same room and people rolling luggage and checking in at the desk.)

Stepping out of the lobby door lands you right in front of the Roberto Celemente bridge, the most photographed “yellow bridge” in Pittsburgh! If you’re looking for a more natural feel or in search of shade, a small park is within walking distance and will give you gorgeous, romantic backgrounds to your portraits.

Guests will enjoy cocktail hour on the upper levels of the lobby, overlooking the grand staircase while the ballroom is being prepped. The Symphony Ballroom can hold up to 200 guests and boasts windows with views of the city’s North Shore and iconic yellow bridges. In-house catering is always delicious and the wait staff is on-par with the elevated service you would expect from a luxury hotel.

Even though the venue is in the heart of downtown, the parking garage across the street is fairly priced and easy to access. Lighting can be challenging here for ceremonies, so consider a photographer that has experience working in the hotel’s expansive lobby.
